Was there on business several years ago, loved the city and area. The Gaslamp district had some excellent restaurants, visited the Coronado hotel along the beach and also made a trip to La Jolla.

The "Little Italy" section has some nice Italian restaurants as well

only been to San Diego while traveling by car with my dad & uncle to Mexico, and to an amusement park near it on our way back... then went to Anaheim to Disneyland...
it's really a la la land...
