Good job, however I would have never returned the call. The more you do the more they call.

We've gotten those calls. I was ready to freak out but my husband said the IRS NEVER calls you demanding money and doesn't leave messages demanding money. If anything, they would reach you by mail or by registered letter.

Over the past three days I've received calls from Jacksonville, FL and some place in Texas with this scam. I let them leave their message and check the number online. Apparently, this is a big scam going around annoying everyone and people that answered said the person they talked to provided false info (name, badge number, office, etc,) and then tells people they have to pay up by credit card. The best defense is to just not answer. Even if you block the incoming number, they'll attempt it again through another number.
