Nice
I'd like to see Trump and Sanders both run on third party tickets. Throw a wrench into this R and D political machine.
What ideas of Trump and Sanders do you like?
This is not a bear trap. I really want to know.

I went straight to the horse's mouth this morning, the Trump for President website.
Trumps wants "To Make America Great Again". OK, that's a bumper sticker line. Every candidate will have one.
But, what about specifics? Well, specifics are pretty much absent from the Trump site.
Click the "About Trump" link and it takes you to a pretty self-serving biography. In it issues are touched on very briefly.
Mr. Trump appears on Fox and Friends on Monday mornings and devotes much of his time to media interviews in order to promote a Free Market, the importance of a strong family, a culture of Life, a strong military and our country’s sacred obligation to take care of our veterans and their families.
Mr. Trump has long been a devoted supporter of veteran causes.
OK, Trum supports the free market, veterans, the military, is pro-life (now anyway), and a strong family.
How is that different from any other republican? In fact, some republicans who support a strong family are still living with their first wife.
The website also has some links to videos where Donald offers up some gems like how he's keeping the deposit from NASCAR and ESPN after they backed out of having banquets at his hotels. Real presidential stuff.
We also know that Trump opposes illegal immigration. Just like every other republican candidate.
The big difference I hear is that "Trump speaks the truth". Really? What truth?
I think he's just more bombastic and rude than the other candidates. I think that appeals to some. But it leaves me flat.
In marked contrast, look at the Bernie Sanders website.
Sanders addresses the major issues of the day in some detail.
Bernie has thought about the country's future.
Donald thinks about himself

BTW, wasn't Trump a birther?

There is no comparison between the websites of Sanders and Trump. To compare a statesman to a celebrity is to compare apples to oranges. I hope voters begin to see the light.

Well, the final die is cast. Willie Robertson of "Duck Commander" thinks Donald Trump would be a fine president. The two of them have a lot in common: they're both successful businessmen and they have TV shows.
Man, the qualifications for becoming president sure have become simpler.

People want leadership, and in the absence of genuine leadership, they'll listen to anyone who steps up to the microphone.
They want leadership. They're so thirsty for it they'll crawl through the desert toward a mirage, and when they discover there's no water, they'll drink the sand.

Trump hasn't presented any ideas yet, just ranting. I agree with him on immigration, that's it. Illegal immigration is a problem, and most Americans, including Hispanics who have come here legally, feel the same way.
Sanders, I like his thoughts on climate change, campaign finance reform and health care.
Both of them are unelectable for their own very different reasons, we all know that. I'd like to see both of them run on third party tickets.
Either one of them would be much better for our country than Hillary Clinton though. That much is certain.

Ok, you agree with Trump on illegal immigration. What is his position on employers who hire illegal immigrants? I haven't been paying alot of attention to it. Fill me in.

Don't all of the GOP candidates think that illegal immigration is a problem?
And the Donald, if he isn't presenting any ideas, is really just being more bombastic in his dislike of illegal immigration than the rest.
That''s not a plan.
BTW, Hillary Clinton sure does frost your cupcake! Trump isn't running against her yet, but she keeps creeping into this thread.
Not to pick on you personally. This seems to happen a lot in modern politics. We don't so much present positives about our candidate as we do negatives about his opponent. "Hey, my guy has presented no ideas. But, at least he's not that guy".
