Has the inevitable Trump implosion begun?
Today the Donald disrespected John McCain's military service. McCain was shot down over Vietnam and held for five years, and tortured. When the north Vietnamese learned that he was the son of a U.S. Admiral, they offered him an early release, no doubt for propaganda purposes. McCain refused and came home with his fellow prisoners at the end of the war.
McCain holds a Purple Heart, a distinguished flying cross, and a silver star.
Donald Trump holds three draft deferments, if memory serves.
If trump does implode, I shall be saddened. The past few weeks have been like democrat Christmas. I had hoped that trump's destruction of the GOP brand could have continued a while longer

So, what dooms Donald Trump?
Immaturity, and lack of discipline.
Trump has been in a verbal skirmish with McCain for several days over immigration. If trump has the discipline to stay on message, he comes out OK.
But, he's childish, and cannot resist going after McCain the man, and even his service to his country.
It' s ironic. The same lack of discipline that made him the darling of the tin foil hat wing of the GOP ultimately dooms trump.

Trump is ultimately a joke and it shows.
What has been his appeal is that many conservatives are not only against Democrats but have felt that there are not any real conservatives left in their party as well. Trump's lambasting them and raising some conservative core issure has them thinking he is their messiah but he is anything but.

I agree that this dissaffected group who feel that the country is slipping away from them are the trump constituency.
When Trump implodes, they will gravitate to Carson, or Huckabee, or Cruz, if they are still in the race.
The thing they don't see is that Trump is entirely a media creation. Trump makes outrageous remarks that make good copy in the summer of 2015 when Jeb-Hillary is a little premature, and dull.
When the Trump story gets stale, the press will participate in his destruction and move on to the next thing.

I was hoping Trump would last a little longer. At least through some debates. He was pure entertainment. It was also fun seeing how his fellow candidates reacted or didn't. Such media-whores......
