Re: Gas Prices

Filling my tank today before the $.20 off a gallon turns into a big fat $0!

Re: Gas Prices

Yeah . . . Highest gas tax in the nation . . . With higher fees for driver's licenses, registration, and license plates.

Thanks to our esteemed state legislators who congratulated themselves for hiking up these rates to pay for needed road repairs. Too bad they didn't consider adjusting the pay downwards for the exorbitantly high salaries and benefits for the executives of the turnpike commission, or getting rid of the prevailing wage law that adds about 30% to the cost of any kind of public project--including road building and maintenance. That kind of legislation could have cut costs and eased the burden on taxpayers to fund projects.

But, I guess it's easy when you're spending other people's money.

I just get irked seeing these bozos lining up in front of the cameras in the state capital building patting themselves on the back to proclaim how well they're doing their jobs to the serfs.

Re: Gas Prices

I HAVE noticed how much nicer our roads have become now that we have the highest (and newer highest) gas taxes in the Nation !

In case anyone was wondering - I was being totally sarcastic !

Heading to Fla this weekend.
Looks like gas where we will be is currently running about 2.25 to 2.35

Re: Gas Prices

Enjoy the sun--and cheap gas.
I notice Rutter's wasted no time jumping onto the highest prices.  Last week driving down 83 it was $2.45.  Today up to $2.55.  I paid $2.25 ($2.45-.20 off) at Giant on E. Market St. This is the last cheaper gas I'll be buying for a long time.   Now, PA, let's get those roads and bridges rebuilt/paved whatever it takes to spend all that loot you'll be collecting.

Re: Gas Prices

Nice little price skirmish right now at Exit 14 (Leader Heights) with the opening of a new Sheetz.

Sheetz and Rutters both at $2.45 this afternoon.

Of course they were both at $2.39 on New Year's Eve.

Thank you, General ASS-embly.
