How to see the solar eclipse in Pennsylvania

Approximately 76 percent of the sun will be covered by the moon for residents who live in South Central Pennsylvania. The solar eclipse will begin at 1:18 p.m. and continue to about 4 p.m. The peak of the eclipse will be about 2:42 p.m.
Unless people know about the eclipse, it will still seem to be a bright, sunny day, said Todd Ullery, volunteer planetarium director for the York County Astronomical Society. "...our eyes are really good at adapting to change in brightness," Ullery said. "When 95 percent of the sun is blocked, people notice that there is something odd about the sky, feels like dusk."

Viewers must wear special glasses. Sunglasses do not filter out enough sunlight, Smith said. You should buy glasses that include special documentation that they meet requirements for safely viewing the eclipse.

Re: How to see the solar eclipse in Pennsylvania

Predicting eclipses isn't the only thing that science can do for us.
You should see what we have in climate change and pollution info!

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.
