Memorial for Nabra Hassanen set on fire in Washington, DC

Memorial for Nabra Hassanen set on fire in Washington, DC

A memorial for Nabra Hassanen, the Muslim teenager killed in Virginia over the weekend, was set on fire on Wednesday in Washington, D.C., Fox5 reported.

District fire officials responded to the incident early Wednesday morning. The memorial was located in Northwest D.C.’s DuPont Circle.

District police told the news outlet that a 24-year-old South Carolina man was detained over the incident.

Vigils for Hassanen, who was killed in what law enforcement officials believe to be an incident of road rage, were organized in D.C. and across the country, according to local reports.

Authorities arrested 22-year-old Darwin Martinez Torres for allegedly beating and killing Hassanen. Hassanen and her friends were returning from a Ramadan prayer session.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Well, probably a radical liberal spreading hate and fear.  That's what Sean Hannity will tell us.
